Sabrina Mustopo and Simon Wright established Krakakoa in 2013. The company produces all its chocolates in Indonesia: bean-to-bar. Indonesia is the third-largest cocoa producer in the world, but the farmers are not paid much. Krakakoa does not work with middlemen. The company cooperates directly with farmers, ensuring that these farmers earn at least two times what they would normally earn. Their exciting single origins have amassed a variety of awards.
