Duberli Jimenez Cruz is a third-generation coffee farmer from Tabaconas, Cajamarca, in northern Peru, where he lives with his family and cultivates 4.5 hectares of Caturra, Bourbon, and Catimor on his farm, La Chirimoya. Despite losing his left hand in an accident at age 15, he remained dedicated to his family’s coffee legacy and began focusing on specialty coffee just five years ago.

His farm is a diverse ecosystem with fruit trees and organic honey production, and he works closely with his twin sons—Frank, who helps manage the farm, and Jhon, a Q-grader and COE judge—to ensure high-quality processing.

Duberli is meticulous in his post-harvest practices, including selective picking, flotation, fermentation, and drying, with a goal of continuously improving quality and eventually competing in the Cup of Excellence Peru.
