This matcha bowl is inspired by the famous print ‘The Great Wave off Kanagawa’ (circa 1829-1833) by Katsushika Hokusai.
A matcha bowl (chawan, 茶碗) is used for preparing Japanese Matcha tea. In the chawan, whisk the powdered tea frothy with a bamboo whisk. This matcha bowl was made in Japan.
