The beans for this chocolate come from Saloy, located on the southern island of Mindanao.
Saloy is a community of nearly 2,100 inhabitants, which is part of the city of Davao, on the southern island. Davao was once the centre of cocoa cultivation. Saloy is actually located far outside the city of Davao, in the mountainous area with tropical forest.
